Frequently asked questions
Is my data secure? +
Yes. All API requests are AES-encrypted, sessions use JWT auth, and we use Firebase App Check to block unauthorized clients. Data is encrypted at rest, with daily backups and role-based access control.
Do I need GPS hardware to use Portalyx? +
No. Portalyx is software-only and works without any GPS device. Drivers report locations and odometer readings through the mobile app. (You can integrate third-party GPS later via API.)
Can I export my data? +
Always. Every list (trips, invoices, payments, trucks) exports to Excel and PDF. Reports export to PDF. Your data is yours.
Is the driver app available offline? +
The driver app caches active trips and tolerates short connectivity drops on the road. Receipts and photos queue locally and sync as soon as the device comes back online.
How long does setup take? +
A typical fleet is live in 3–7 days. Our team helps you import existing trucks, drivers, and clients, and runs a guided setup session before you go live.
Which languages does Portalyx support? +
The admin dashboard and driver app are fully translated into Arabic (RTL) and English, with 2,300+ UI strings. Additional languages can be added on request.
